Basically, soon I shall be getting an 8GB Ipod Touch. What I want to know is, is 8GB enough room for music, video AND jailbreak / 3rd party apps? IF so How many pages of apps will it fit before nearlly full.
Sorry if this has been asked before, I just wanna know before I buy.

    Thanks

think about it this way, youre dishing out at least 300 for a 8GB one..mind as well be patient and save that 120 bucks more to get 2X the space

And yeah, it's plenty. Or, it's no worse then not jailbreaking. The 8gb unit has 300mb set aside for the OS/Apps, with something like 30-40MB free for apps. If you move all the apps over to the other partition (the big one, where your music and videos live) you're going to use maybe 100-200mb. Thats .1 to .2 GB. You will not even notice that, even on the 8GB unit.

can you see that you have answered his question in NO way?

For me its like this: i've got an 8gig one but i haven't jailbroken it yet because i want to wait until the 1.1.3-brick rumour is cleared up. So I actually can't say whether 8gb are enough. But i think that if you don't overact with apps you'll not get into big troubles.

    400 songs/6 videos/400 photos, 32 apps, 3 game boy roms, 2.6gb free on my 8gb ipod

Would it be nice if that said 10.5gb free? I guess. Can I live with this? Yeah. Is it worth $100 or so? Meh. Dunno. Probably not, since this thing has a 1 year lifespan anyway.

    I have 300 songs, 2 videos, 250 photos, and like 25 applications.
I have 6GB of free space.

8gb is enough, I have a 8gb model, except I have about 1.1 gigs left because of having all 6 Star Wars movies on my Touch
