jailbreaking itouch 3rd gen

    hey,
    i got my itouch like more than a month ago..its the 3rd gen and its firmware is 3.1.1...
    im rdy to jailbreak it..
    i jus need to know how and what i need to watch out for?
    anyone plz?

    Use blackra1n. It will be a tethered jailbreak since you have a 3rd gen. So whenever you turn it off, you'll need to run blackra1n and 'make it ra1n' again to turn it back on. But don't worry, there will be no loss of data.

    Also, when you turn it off, iTunes will tell you to restore, but don't. Just ignore the message and do what I said above.

    oky so i have jailbroken my itouch..everything went great...i realized it turned on all sound effects like when i plug my itouch to charge it mks dat bleep sound..n when i type it sounds for every letter i hit...i went to settingss..general...sounds..n it says it says they r off..how come i still hear it...how do i turn it off?...i dont see any sound effects options...

    Hmm, weird. Try turning it on then turning it back off.

    That's a bad question, it's more like does opening your car's hood void your warranty, your just opening up the file system, not changing anything hardware.
