Hello everyone! This is my first post, so please don't be harsh on me

    ! So here's the thing:

I updated my iPod touch 3g from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 because it got bricked after restoring (it was jailbroken). Now, I want to jailbreak it again, but I don't know if blackra1n works. If it doesn't, how do I downgrade? I heard that Apple signed 3.1.2...

    Thanks!

Try to download the 3.1.2 iPhone firmware from here [removed]. Then when you finish hold shift and click Restore. It should let you search for the firmwares you have downloaded. Select the firmware and it should restore it back to 3.1.2

I already tried that, 'didn't work. iTunes pops up an error message saying that it is not compatible with my Ipod.

If it was jailbroken and you backed up the SBSH files, then you can downgrade using the guide posted in the Jailbreak 3.1.3 forum under "How to Downgrade from 3.1.3 with SBSH sigs backed up" thread. Personally I'd suggest redsn0w over blackra1n for fewer overall issues, and for the automatic install of Cydia and AFC2.

I think that is not an option since I completely deleted my iPod before installing 3.1.3 firmware, I don't remmember backing up anything.

    Thanks, though.

If you'd used Cydia and had the message "This device has SHSH backed up for the following firmwares" at the top, you're good.
