I want to jailbreak my ipod 2g. I cant upgrade to 3.1.2 because 3.1.3 is out (which to my understanding, cant be jailbroken)
wat should my next move be if i want to jailbreak? or is it not possible?

well I asked because in other forums they recommended someone a couple of weeks ago (b4 3.1.3) to update to 3.1.2 then jailbreak from there.

So I assumed it was best to get to 3.0 firmware then jailbreak.

yeah 3.0 is pretty stable, that's what I'm running right now.. it should be good until 3.5 or 4.0 comes out. No need to update in between, the differences are too small. THe big milestone is 3.0, so it should be good

Well, thats the problem. I want to be on 3.0 b4i jailbreak but..
Im on 2.1.1 and itunes is only giving me the option to pay 3.1.3 upgrade (which cant be jailbroken) not 3.1.2.
