I think I may help a friend jailbreak his iPoT, he's currently on 1.1.1, I'm debating whether to leave him with a JB 1.1.1 or go the full mile with JB 1.1.2.

Anyways my concern are what my iTunes are going to do to his iPod especially if I try to update his iPoT firmware with my iTunes, is it going to force him to delete his music and sync with my library?

Also let's say you have a jailbroken iPoT and you go to another computer with iTunes and sync to that computer, does it restore or does it leave the software alone and just clears your Music/media content?

Thanks, I'm cool with that, but will it keep the jailbreak apps once he gets it back and syncs with his comp.

No JB apps, you'll have to install them again from the installer.
