I watched a YouTube video and I got a link for downloading a zip file which is used for jailbreaking my iPod Touch. I encountered an error somewhere along the way and I'm not sure if anyone else got the same problem...
    ..................................................
    1. Extract all of the files in this zip archive.
    2. Copy iTunesMobileDevice.dll from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin to the same folder as touchFree.exe.
    3. Restore your iPod to a fresh 1.1.1 state (recommended but optional)
    4. Load http://jailbreak.toc2rta.com in Safari on the iPod. Safari should exit/crash.
    5. Run touchFree.exe
    - When prompted to reboot, turn off the iPod as you do so normally and then turn it on again.
After waiting for the springboard to appear, push enter to continue.
    - You will be asked to reboot twice at some point. This means turning the iPod off, turning it on,
turning it off again, and then turning it back on before pushing enter to continue.
    - Enter the IP address of the iPod when prompted.
    - If you get a PuTTY dialogue about the SSH host key, say yes.
    ..................................................
After hitting ENTER after rebooting twice, the puTTY config. pops up and is blank. After a few seconds, an error comes up -"Connection Timed Out". Why is that and does anyone have a remedy for this problem?

ok, autolock is set to never now, but what now, restoring (which does not work in my case due to the 150mb file going over 180 and on)? or do the jailbreak process again?

lol, touchfree worked like a charm!!!!

proud owner now of a hacked iPod touch

My experience is the lock to never, and make sure firewalls are turned off...
