    Hello iPod Touch fans!
I've walked through the the forum and some sites to find information about iPod jailbreaking, but I haven't been able to find out the answer to the following question:

If I buy an iPod Touch now, will it be jailbreakable ?

Tutorials usually specify firmware version, but I don't know with which version they are actually shipped...

If yes: Tethered or untethered ? And what would happen if it is tethered and if I try to launch it without a computer ?

    Thank you

I believe a 8 gb 3rd gen is can be jailbroken(tethered) but the 32 and 64gb 3rd gen cannot. If it is tethered you don't turn it off or let it die or you will have to sync and rejailbreak.

we wont exactly know what ur ipod will be. If your buying new it will proabally be a 3G, 2G if the store says so. firmware will be 3.1.2/3. if its a 2G you can jailbreak forever. if its a 3G on 3.1.2 you'll be tethered, 3.1.3 you wont be able to jailbreak
