Just spent an hour trying to jailbreak with the new Pwnage app with no luck.
Kept getting error 6 or error 2001.

So I tried Quikpwn...Success first time.

Just letting people know if they are encountering a similar problem with Pwnage.

Are you using iTunes 8 or 7.7?

What if we use iTunes 7.7? Will it makes any difference?

Well I have an iPhone 3G and I just jailbroke it for the first time tonight. I first tried 2.1 QuickPwn. It worked successfully, but right after, my iPhone 3G went into a boot loop. Luckily for me, QuickPwn also makes it so the iPhone can restore to a custom firmware. So, I quickly made a custom firmware and restored to that. Nothing bad has happened since then

I saw an instruction here said about installing iTunes 7.7
    I'm confused...

    • Install iTunes 8.
    • Update iPhone with iTunes and make sure it is activated!
    • Uninstall iTunes 8.
    • Uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support (From Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel)
    • Install itunes v7.7.* (http://www.filehippo.com/download_itunes/) <-- all versions of itunes are there.

Scratch the above post the ipod touch keeps crashing.
After installing something from cydia or installing mobleinstallation it gets stuck on the boot screen with intermittent beeping.
Tried Pwnage tool again and this time it worked.
Haven't tried installing anything else though if I do encounter problems i'll update this post......

Im running 8.0 and had no problems what so ever. I would restore your ipod a couple of times and then go through the pwn process again.
