Hey guys, I'm using a 1st gen 8gb iPod Touch, and its currently updated to firmware 1.1.4. However, I'm having trouble using ZiPhone to jailbreak it (This is my first time JBing something.) I've tried it twice, but I've gotten the same "BSD error" thingy halfway through the jailbreak process. Can someone enlighten me on what I should do? Or did wrong? Thanks in advance.

All I could say is make sure you start from a clean restore (basically just restore in iTunes)

Hmm... okay, I'll make a list of the steps I took.

    1. Restore in iTunes using 1.1.4 (I didn't buy the Jan upgrade though.)
    2. Run the ZiPhone, and press Jailbreak.
[Here's where the problem lies. Halfway through "working", the sound that signifies that it got disconnected from the computer is heard, and the BSD error keeps appearing. And it never stops.]

So then I have to restore my iPod all over again for it to work. But the next time I try jailbreaking it, the same thing happens. Perhaps it's because my iPod was bought waay back in November?

Strange problem, this worked for me

Use this file [http://www.[PIRACY.mf].com/?3eyzlykm8ak] Its got some file that helps you get around these problems - Use the file named Setup

Make sure your Ipods in 1.1.4 and in Recovery mode Leave itunes's processing running just make sure you untick the box that says open Itunes when Ipod is connected then close Itunes, Then Plug your Recovery Mode Ipod In, and Bingo your good to go

The setup.dat crashes. =\ The situation seems quite bleak to me now.

Hmm... I finally got ZiPhone One, but I have no idea how to really use it. I'm assuming I'm supposed to check the jailbreak box?

[PS: I can downgrade to 1.1.3 if need be, I just need an easy solution to get it jailbroken.]
