Well.... This as really pissed me off!.... Earlier today i found jailbreaking your ipod touch IS illegal. I don't know if it is different in places but it is in UK.

I am without an ipod now, And have to wait for apple to reply, To see if they will return my ipod.

STORY: I cracked my screen (after Jailbroken) .... It has insurance + Warranty so i sent it back to Comet (where i purchased my ipt) They said they cannot do anything but they can send it back to apple... So i said Ok let them. Next day i get a phone call from comet saying that they are containing my ipod because it has been with. And they said they will call me in a few days...

Just letting you all know what happened, Incase you do the same.

    Thanks, TheInvisibleMan

Its against your warranty but im certain its not illegal, unless you had some naughty things on there... But apple would only reject your iPod, doesn't affect me anyway... I unjailbroke my 2g.

I couldn't Restore my ipod, When i mean "cracked my screen" I put it in my back pocket with coins and sat on it. And actually f***ed the screen completely to the point it won't turn on.

DFU mode might have worked. Did you try to put it into DFU mode then restore?

To guy above, DFU mode requires you to turn on your iPod >_>

Hmmm, as I said im sure its not illegal, either they're being idiots and not returning it like they should since you have only voided the warranty.

Legality and consequents depends on your country law and how it protect the software or developers EULA :> But by JB you surly brake Apples EULA, so sending them JB iPod = trouble
