answer the poll, and a comment will be good. Thing is i have heard about people jailbreaking their ipod touch and completely bricking it and there was no way of them fixing it. So when i buy a touch for £320 i obviously wouldnt want to break it!

Lies. Jailbreaking does not and can not brick an iPod touch.
It CAN NOT possibly brick an iPod touch without modifying the bootloader (i don't think this is even possible), or seriously screwing up the Drive.

I heard that ZiPhone modifies the Bootloader, if somethings up with it.

I dont trust ZiPhone, just stay away, and know what your doing when you jailbreak.

It EXPLOITS the bootloader. Does not change it. Only changes the iPhone bootloader by downgrading it.

Currently, soft upgrade only Patches 1.1.4 onto a Jailbroken 1.1.2.

    ZiPhone actually Jailbreaks 1.1.4 Firmware.

i've only had to restore my ipod once, on 1.1.1, because of the SCoD. Now i'm running 1.1.4 and it was super easy. i literally just plugged my ipod into my computer, and hit "jailbreak" in the ziPhone GUI
