Do you think anyone will try to jailbreak/unlock extra non-Apple functionality in the Apple Tablet if/ when it comes out. Will be interested to see feedback please.

Possibly, depends on how locked-down it is, I guess.

Yeh, you never know how much Apple will let us do.

Yea exactly, like, since it's somewhere between a Mac and an iPhone, is it more towards a Mac which doesn't need any hacking (from my knowledge anyways

), or is it more towards an iPhone which is really locked down. We'll have to wait and see

Well, if it'll run OS X Snow Leopard or a stripped down version of it, you probably won't have any use in doing that

If it needs to be jailbroken, I don't think that this will take off.

Why not? Aren't iPhones/iPod Touches considered successful? They are to me

Yes, but they aren't really 'computers'. The tablet might be large enough to be considered a 'laptop computer' which should be able to download software not approved by Apple and customizable without any hacking. It should run a more computer-like OS (take Safari, for example, on a stock iPhone and Macbook. The iPhone can't run flash or download anything).
