So i was talking to UiH94, and from what i understand, if your 3GS is made after Sept. than to jailbreak, i will have to be tethered? Is this true?

(tethered JB as in you have to have it connected to your mac/pc to restart it, not TETHERING [internet])

That is correct for any 3GS with the new iBoot.

Yep, it's true. There's a small chance that you'll get a 3GS with an old bootrom, but you will most likely get the new one.

Everything a normal and jailbroken iPhone can do.......

Just cannot shut it off. If you do then you will have to reboot it by using blackra1n.

It's really no that bad. I had my cousin jailbreak even though she has the new bootloader. She never even turns off her iPhone.

If it dies, plug it in and run BlackRa1n. Problem solved!

Lol, if it dies and you're not home, you can't use it anyways whether it's tethered or not
