Ok I want to jailbreak and know all the risks but I am using a Mac not a PC and I understand it will work on Macs only if you are not using OS X 10.5.6 which I am using so is there any way I can get my 2G Ipod to be fully jailbroken on this Mac?

Also once I jailbreak do I have to reinstall all my apps, games, music, videos ect.... again?

    Thanks in advanced,

    Kevin

I typed Unthethered Mac in the search box and got no help from that nothing really relevant. I downloaded a file so I could use DFU mode in Mac OS X 10.5.6 but I can't find an actual tutorial on how to get it untherhered could soemone please give me a link to a tutorial?

Yes you have to sync back everything..
because my theory is that since you restored to a new firmware
you ipod is back to jailbroken factory settings... i guess

You could nor flash if you are already jailbroken but if it is the first time then I'm pretty sure you need a full restore to get cydia.
