I just finished jailbreaking my 2g ipod touch and noticed all of my music and videos are gone. How can i transfer all of these things back without restoring?

You have to re-add your media when the jailbreaking process is finished.

Plug it in and use iTunes just like you did to get it all on your iPod before.

When i try that it either offers me the option of restoring to my old firmware or the option of "setting up as a new ipod."

This step won't actually restore the firmware itself, it just wants to know if you would rather start fresh or get everything back from the backup iTunes made last time you synced your iPod (app data, cache, etc). If these things aren't important to you, click "Set up as a new iPod."

Oh ok. I was just nervous if i used my previous settings it would erase the jailbreak. Thanks for the help!
