    So i want to know exactly what a jailbreak will do for me. What are the differences the benefits. The dowsides everthing. i wanna know.

    no downsides except run blackra1n every time for boot
    other than that happy jailbreaking!

    cool will i lose my stuff i have on it. apps music etc. and will it still recognize in itunes and stuff

    go for it since jailbreaking in general is great and totally worth it. Without an itouch jailbroken, its a pathetic toy. Now depends on what firmware and generation your Itouch is to recommend jailbreaking to you although yes, jailbreaking is great and by all means go for it.

    Do it, it doesn't hurt anything and takes the touch from great to awesome.

    whats that supposed to mean. i have a 3g 8b. with 3.1.3 firmware

    Your going to have to back flash it to 3.1.2 using the 2G firmware for the 8gb I believe. Lucky you got an 8gb as the 32 and 64 cannot be back flashed.
