    Hi.
Recently my home button got tottaly defected. That wassnt much of an problem because my Ipod was jailbroken, and if you head to cydia you can find a iHome application which can help you exit programs and such things.
But for some reason i had to restore my ipod, and now its unjailbroken, so i have to turn the ipod on and off to exit programs.
I have tried to jailbreak it with quickpwn, but since my home button doesnt work, it wouldnt work. I tryed to use the windows application called 'DFU', but it didnt work either.

IS there anyway i can jailbreak my ipod??
Or is The Dev Team going to release a quickpwn where it will automaticly put it in DFU any soon?

    Thanks in advance

    i dont think so

you might be able to take it to a specialist, they might be able to fix it

or if it is expensive you will just have to buy a new one

    or not jailbreak it

Since it isn't jailbroken right now you could send in to Apple if it's still under warrenty.

I am seeing if I can pwn 1.1.4 and get it into DFU with *gulp* ziphone...
    And then restore to 3.1.1

    *edit*

    Doh,
    you need DFU to downgrade....
    all is lost.

Well you cant do anything. Go get yourself a replacement home button. Or get it repaired (Will be kinda expensive...).

You could alternative TRY, if your home button still makes the click sound try to push REALLY hard down on it. If it reacts then your digitizer/glass isn't all the way down and the homebutton doesn't make contact.

Temporary solutions on Cydia include the SBSettings Close Button Widget plugin and iHome. However, Apple should replace your iPod free of charge if it's still under warranty.

right now my itouch is having a similar problem, i got mine when they first came out and had to shell out $500 for a 32GB, but as of yesterday, the home button simply stopped pressing in, it doesnt make the clicking sound like it should and doenst respond, im about 100% sure its a hardware problem, not software, but i am jailbroken at 3.0 right now, are there any ways i can get it fixed? since i got it when it first came out, the 1 year warranty is done for...
