    Hi
    Newbie to this forum..
Jailbroke 1.1.1 and successfully jailbreakesd 1.1.2...fine for a month...loads of 3rd party apps etc.
Then mistakenly upgraded to 1.1.3 via itunes....now all i can do is go back to 1.1.1 and jailbreak but cannot jailbreak back to 1.1.2....the new app snap has oktoprep built in...this is where the problem is....when jailbreaking to 1.1.2 using the windows bat exe, after I have upgraded to 1.1.2, the little batch prgram fails with 'jail break fail message' and suggests that oktoprep has not been installed.....have tried using iphuc but no good...still get same message from jailbreaking to 1.1.2.
    Would appreciate any help...
    Regards

    David

I know this sounds a bit stupid but have you tried installing the oktoprep from installer even though the new app snap already has it, try it, it might work

    Hi

    Hi
1st thing I tried was to reinstall oktoprep from installer.....however oktoprep isnt available on the latest version of installer. they obviously removed the link in tweaks 1.1.1 because it is already included.

Download community packs under all packages or something. Then it will come out

    Okay.
Jailbreakme.com lies in the fact that it says that installs Community Sources.

--THERE IS A LOT OF MISUNDERSTANDINGS HERE--

    Add the source
    http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone
    to your iPod.

    DOES OKTOPREP SHOW UP?
    IF IT DOES, Install it!

If it doesn't. Install this source.
    http://hackthatphone.com/1.xml

Many people will then tell you to "Shift-Restore."

    DO NOT SHIFT RESTORE

A shift-restore will wipe your iPod and you have to start all over again.

Do a shift-upgrade instead and then install the 1.1.2 Jailbreak.
    You're set!

    thanks

    Hi

The 'hack that phone' links gave me back oktoprep...I now have a jailbroken 1.1.2 ipod again.

    Many thanks.

1 more thing.....there are a lot of methods to JB up to 1.1.3...thats where my problems began last week....can anybody give me a reliable link/method to do this.

    Thanx in advance.....
