I jailbroke my itouch a couple of times because of restores and what not. I noticed that that the last time I did it i started off with 6.8 GB. Before it said 7.02.

Should I worry about anything or is it fine?

(Does it just take up space or can it run down your hard drive over time?)

An iPod touch does not have a hard drive. -_-

The new firmware partitions the system partition differently resulting in more room for your jailbreak applications.
