SO i just updated to iso4.0 and was runin that non jailbroken for about a week (ever since it came out till last night)... since i have jailbroken my ipod i feel like it is running incredibly slower then before i jailbroke it. im wondering if anyone else is having this problem or not and could help me speed up my ipod!?

    APPs Installed since jailbroken:
    -Winterboard
    -OPENssh
    -SBSettings
    -ElitPro Theme

    and of course cydia!

    Did you enable backgrounds??
Since you have winterboard you dont really need them.
So rejailbreak with redsn0w and uncheck install cydia and wlppaper, but keep multitasking checked.
This will remove the wallpaper function and keep cydia intact.

The wallpapers take up a lot of ram I noticed.

Well then don't jailbreak it? Jailbreak slows it down and pointless anyways.

Lol, did you really just say that a jailbreak is pointless? He'll no. You get full themes, cydia, sbsettings, emulators, and real multitasking.

@OP- Enabling backgrounds will slow your device down.

    Edit: Stupid autocorrect.
  6. Also, if you have a 2g (like OP) then you need to jailbreak to get features like multitasking and wallpapers
