I keep on hearing about the most bizarre stories, from batteries dying within hours for good to taking up all the RAM and making the touch freeze so lets try this again.

What should i avoid? Thanks in advance.

The 3G has a lot of battery power improvements to it. While jailbroken, you shouldn't have to avoid anything really. If your concerned about battery life, turn off your wifi and notifications.

The main reason i got it jailbroken is because of the app background so i can use skype and safari at the same time and both need wi-fi

Go to settings - notifications and turn them off. Notifications are meant for app news, extra sounds, ect.

My battery was dieing fast yesterday when I jailbroke and started customizing.

But that might be because I could finally see the percentage of my battery

How do you use Skype and Safari at the same time? Everytime I exit out of Skype it signs me off
