i am assuming that updating to 3.0 will delete my jailbreak, (sorry im a noob) and so i was wondering, does anybody have an idea or even a guess as to when the 3.0 untethered comes out? how long did it take after 2.0?

    thanks for your help!

it took quite a lot after the 2.0 came out, but that was because of the hardware of the ipod touch 2g. The JB for 3.0 should come out in a couple of days max.

2.0 took quite some time I think. But this time around it's supposed to be quicker. Dev-team said that they had the jailbreak ready, they just had to fix a few things first.

So it shouldn't take too long, it'll probably be out later today.

well yeh it's going to be quick because the jailbreak has already been found all they need to do is iron the bugs in the program and make the bundles. I swear people think just because a new firmware is released then the old jailbreak has been fixed and a new one needs to be found

but apple changed around some of the img3s in the firmware making it tougher (mainly more time consuming) for the devs, however despite this delay it should be out by friday

all the devs really need to do is make the bundles and have the gui accept the bundles and have a successful test run of the jailbreak. Do you not know the jailbreak in it's essence is a hardware exploit?
