    I know there are loads of threads for this but they are not very clear. Could somebody give me a clear simple to follow tutorial? Thanks in advance

    If you're on the old boot rom, use the new beta pwnageTool. This REQUIRES you have a Mac. Otherwise, WAIT for the public release on the 21.

    Seriously though, your better waiting till the 21st rather than using one of the hacks already out there. Apparently there unreliable and not official.

    Only the iPhone 3G can be done via redsn0w. You need the beta modded PwnageTool for the 3G With old bootrom.

    ya i and old boot ROM, on b4 edition i belive you also needed it to be pre-jailbroken via Redsn0w on 3.1.2 or any other non tethered bootrom jailbreak. Not sure about this one, i did it just incase, also dont use beta itunes to restore it will hang halve way during restore a PITA to get it to work for my, 4 hours

    I have OS X 10.5.8 on my HP Pavillion Elite desktop and OS X 10.6.3 on my Dell Mini 10v, will it work on a hackintosh?

    Yes, it will work On a Hackintosh.
