Ok, so I was talking to my mate yesterday about Jailbreak and he said he has successfully exploited and jailbroke 4.0.2 with the new Redsn0w.

He is writing up the tutorial and should be done by today.
I will update this thread with it!

I can write it for you in 3 steps

    1) Own an iPod 2G or iPhone 3G
    2) Run redsn0w
    3) Point it to a 4.0 ipsw

Just look in my Signature Mr. Innovator. We know how to Jailbreak 4.0.2 since Ages. (It only works with the Old Bootrom thou)

Might want to add new bootroms don't work. Only 2g iPod Touches, 3g iPhones, and VERY early production 3G models work.

    I'm happy with 4.0

The only thing that i'm kind of mad at, is compatibility issues...

Oh well I can answer that question easily enough as well.

Because I wasn't stupid enough to update to a firmware that's only purpose was to patch a jailbreak hole.
