Hey guys i just jailbroke my ipod touch 2G on windows and i was wondering if i could write a tutorial that had a link to the custom firmware needed. Since most windows cannot produce a custom firmware of their own at the moment for 3.1.1 i thought i would give a short tutorial with a firmware link. Im just not sure if thats against the rules. So if you could let me know i could help a lot of people out. Thanks!

    EDIT:

Ok so i decided to share my very very simple way of how i jailbroke my ipod touch 2g on 3.1.1 with windows. This may or may not help anybody at all but i guess its worth a shot anyways.

1). Firstly, make sure that your itunes is upgraded to atleast Itunes 9.
    2) You need to find a 3.1.1 Jailbroken firmware. (I wish i could share mine with everyone but according to Nburnes it is illegal, but that doesnt mean its not posted all over google.)
3)Once you have found your firmware you can try putting your Ipod in DFU. I didnt need to but some may need to.
4)And really all you need to do is Shift + click restore your ipod to the jailbroken firmware and you are all good to go.

Now i know everyone pretty much already knew this stuff anyhow, but maybe it could have cleared something up for someone else, i dont know just thought i should throw it out there for everyone. Well good luck finding the firmware (google) and you guys should be all set to go on WINDOWS. By the way i did thin on 64-bit Vista. Wether or not this makes a difference i dont know, but anyhow good luck guys! you can always post questions and ill be glad to help.

Check out my BLOG, it will really help you out with any questions you might have. I promise!

P.S. My FIRST attempt at a tutorial ( lol i know its pathetic )

EDIT: There is officially no need to jailbreak this way anymore on 3.1.1! Hooray for Blackra1n!!!

I suggest making the tutorial either way, just not with the links.
It might help out some people...

well i was just gonna provide a little explanation of what i did to jailbreak with windows and provide the links to firmware, but the tutorial would be virtually useless if i couldn't post the firmware.

It probably isn't illegal, but it is against the rule on this site to post IPSWs

Strait from the Actions that will result in a warning / infraction Section of the rules...
