At the moment I have 3 ipod touch (2g) :
All MB models one at 2.2.1 and two at 3.0 and all jailbroken with redsnow.
Right now I would like to update them all to 4.0 and Jailbreak .....
What's the easiest way to go about?

download the firmware from here then download redsn0w from here. Update to 4.0 or 4.1 or whatever you want and jailbreak with redsn0w

Do they have 4.0 SHSH blobs? All devices need them starting 3.1.3.

MB model devices don't need shsh blobs

Sometimes they do, since apple introduces "Soft-SHSH" for MB models.
But normaly they dont "check" anything while downgrading.

Myth. I dont know why people keep saying this, its giving false hope. As soon as you are at 3.1.3 or higher, no matter what device it starts using soft shsh when you downgrade/upgrade

^1. Yes it will delete all apps, but just sync to your computer and you'll be fine

    2. Since you're not on 3.1.3 for any device, you don't need to worry

So latest fw would be 4.1 so I might as well go ahead and do an official iTunes update and JB using redsnow like Peebs suggested?
I'm on windows btw, is there redsnow for windows yet?

Well would updating to 4.1 and jailbreaking with redsnow be an option?
I'm on windows, were do I find redsnow for windows to jailbreak 4.1?
