    Hi All,

I just attempted to JailBreak my iPod Touch 2G v2.2 using the following well known tutorial: http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137903.

Has any had any issues with this, with regards to Windows NOT recognising the 'device' after the restore of the Custom firmware was done via iTunes???

Some one has mentioned a button combo they tried to get Windows to recognise the drive...but i am having no luck with this.

    Please could someone help me??

    I would greatly appreciate it!

    Many Thanks,
    Martyn

    Some guy wrote:

"ok i fixed it, i had to hold the home button for 5 secs, then the home and power for 10 secs, then home only and it was eventually was read by my comp. thanx"

I have tried this several times...very accurately...and still nothing!!

    Any more suggestions???

(thank you for the quick response.)

download the 1clickboot program. in there there is a countdown timer, and that will for sure get u into dfu mode. there is a thread for the 1clickboot program in the redsn0w subforum. it really is amazing. and u can use that for having to reboot ur device as well.. when the file downloads, just run the dfuhelper program.

    i hope this helps!

This happened to me too. I tried resetting the ipod, but my comp would still not recognise it. I'm pretty sure if you plug it into another comp it will recognise.
What you can try is to restart you computer. If that doesn't work, do a system restore (where all your data, but not documents is restored to a certain point in time). That should solve the problem, well it did for me
