I was just thinking.....would it be possible for us jailbrakers to get 3.0 BEFORE everyone else?

Simple - someone signs up as a dev - grabs the beta - has 3+ months until the official release in june to mod it and stuff - get it working with cydia, etc and then just ******* the jailbroken 3.0 software?

I'm sure i'll get warned for this post - but could this be possible?

I already love showing off my jailbroken 2.x - and if I could show off not only the jailborken toys, but the new features of 3.0 - that would be so cool!

    Thoughts?

I think, regardless of wether there is a leak or not, alot of the devs that make things for Cydia have a dev kit and will be programming jailbreak apps for 3.0 long before it comes out

Just because its beta doesn't exactly mean its buggy.

And fiy the dev-team jailbroke 2.0 before it was released so anythings possible.

the first 2.0 betas were incomplete and buggy as f***. Whats to say 3.0 will be any different.

there probably will be bugs. i doubt they'll be as crippling as the 2.0 bugs were though, as that transition was a big fundamental change in the OS.

I thought that was the point of labeling things as "Beta"

Not always. There is such a thing as a stable beta. Beta just just means something is in an early stage and usable (past alpha, but before release candidate). For example, almost everything Google develops is listed as beta, but they rarely fail to perform their functions.
