I'm looking for a microphone i can use with my ipod touch 1st gen. A lot of people recommend the Macally iVoice III as it works with ipod touch 1st gen up to firmware 3.0.
I wonder if it is possible to plug in a normal headset into the line in jack of the iVoiceIII. I wanna make calls with my ipod touch via skype to my friends and it would be perfect if i could use a normal headset instead of talking into the iVoice microphone. That way i could have the ipod in my pocket while talking to someone.
So, has anyone tried to plug in an external mic into the line in of the iVoiceIII?
I have a standard headset with two jacks - one goes into the headphone jack, the second into the mic jack.
    Would that work??
    Thanks.
