I downloaded the movie Persepolis (excellent, btw) and have been trying for the last couple of hours to sync it with my ipod touch.

These are the specs of the movie file. Whenever I try to sync it in iTunes, a pop up comes up that the ipod cannot play this file. (I know the resolution is higher than the 640x480 stated on Apple's Spec Sheet but I've read that 720x384 is allowed because 720 into 384 < 640 into 480)

I've used winamp, ssh and tens of alternatives to try to get this to sync, but no dice. Can any one tell me how I can sync this file with my iPod Touch? Thank YOU!

It must be an mp4 video to play on the iPod.

Thanks for the tip but it's in h.264 and converting it to a reasonable size would take days and would lower quality.

SSH and put it someplace, then try and opening it with AV Player.

Just convert it to a lower resolution, it seems like you're going thru a lot of trouble when you already know the problem... Just try it, what's the worst that could happen?

download dvdshrink 3.2 it shrinks all movies down without losing quality. then convert it and sync it to ipod
