From my understanding I can buy an iPhone 4 with no contract for 599$ for the 16GB and 699$ for the 32GB (which is very cheap comparing to the prices here in Israel), anyway, just wanted to clarify, Will I be able to walk into any Apple Store/RadioShack/Wallmart/BestBuy store and just buy an iPhone 4 for these price?
I've heard that this plan will be launched later, when is "later"? Do you think on July 20 this plan will be available?

    Thanks

Yup. Should do. You can in England where I bought mine. Cost me £449 plus the tenner for the first top up

AFAIK, you're sill required to be on the same plan. And it's still tied to AT&T.

Um, does that mean I won't be able to just "Pay-and-Go"? Could someone confirm that?

I currently use T-Mobile Prepaid on my unlocked iPhone 3G. I don't have any mobile data (other than texting I guess). I'm not sure what you mean by 'Pay-and-Go' but if you mean paying the $599 and leaving, then yes I think you can. If you mean AT&T GoPhone, then IDK.

Yes, I meant pay the price (599,699) and leave, not the GoPhone, IDK what it is..
    Well, thanks for the answer.

Yeah, I think you can tell them you just want to go home without activating; then jailbreak it, and use it as an iPod touch, if that's your intent.

Yes, you can absolutely do that. In fact, just tell them you'll activate it at home.

The no-commiment price still requires you to activate the iPhone and that means have a voice and data plan. But you can cancel the plan at any time.
