Try opening Run by selecting Run under the start menu, or on Vista by searching for Run in the Start Search box. Then type in "regsvr32 iTunesMobileDevice.dll" without quotes. Hopefully the DLL file will register itself accordingly.

Find the itunes 7.7 install file. Rename it to itunessetup.zip. Extract. Install bonjour.msi.

    fix

try this, copy the file you are trying to open into this file

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    or
    C:\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support.

i hope this works for you as it did for me.
