Okay, so I was playing around with a few of my ipa files (let me just say right now, that these are apps that I payed for, and they have just been taken off the AppStore etc) and I noticed that without installing anything from cydia (I won't mention what) that all of these apps just synced auto, this was on iTunes 8.2.1 with 3.0.1.

Anyone else notice this? I also tried it with some free apps that had been you know what and it worked.

To the mods: Please keep this open as a discussion, I'm not trying to promote anything, I'm just stating the vunerability.

i don't understand. You're saying that iTunes auto-synced new apps that were just added? If no, thats normal.

No, I had apps like Rolando and others that you can't get in the 'Store anymore, and thye still synced then I tryed some apps not from apple, but still free ones, and they worked too. I removed all the ones that were not from Apple.

That too, but I deleted them straight away.

ah, I see. Well as long as you still have the IPA you can add/remove the apps from your device whether it is in the appstore or not. I still have Aquatica on my iPhone. now the "other" apps, thats interesting.

It might be because I wasn't signed into iTunes.

yes, it should work fine. Like i said, I have Aquatica which was removed because of a copyright dispute with the makers of the PS3 game flOw. I have added and removed the app from my iPhone and iPod several times and it still syncs fine.
