I download podcasts directly from my Touch all the time with a wi-fi network.

Lately whenever I click on the podcast I get booted out and iTunes crashes.

I have recharged, restarted and restored my iPod, to no avail.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having exactly the same problem, it only started a week or so ago.

I can view everything else in iTunes, such as music and videos, just not podcasts.

I heard somewhere that it may be a memory issue??? But I have no idea myself, help greatly appreciated.

My Touch is completely empty, so I can't see how it's a memory issue.

Granted, it used to have plenty of songs (but not full, I think) prior to the restoration.

Same here, as I stated in another thread. Mine was also working a week ago.

I don't have an iTunes account; I just use it for the podcasts. Do the others who are experiencing this issue have accounts?

Yes, I do have an account, so I can't imagine there is any problem with that.

Wow, this is surprising! There's a host of people having this problem.

If anyone finds a solution, please share!

    Anyone feel like calling Apple?

Ok, finally managed to sort my problem.

Firstly I removed all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, Bonjour etc etc...

I then created a new Vista user account (as I was also having problems with iTunes on my normal PC account). I reinstalled the latest iTunes and updated the iTouch software to 3.1.3 (previously 2.1) and all seems to be working perfectly now, podcasts appear as normal and iTunes does not close unexpectedly.

I don't know if this would be helpful to anybody else, but could be worth a go.
