How can I get iTunes on my usb drive and for it to be able to detect iPod input on any computer?

Install iTunes on your flashdrive. I haven't tried that I but think it should work...I think.

Yes, but I don't have the administrative rights on the computers at school to install iTunes.

Why do you need itunes at school?
Presumably none of your music is there

You can use it just in case your iPod start messing up if you are not home.

By the way, I just tried installing iTunes via portable flash drive and it works. I knew it would work since a flash drive is like a mini hard drive. However, when I try to open the iTunes on my flash drive, my iTunes on my computer opens up. I haven't tried plug-in it in to another computer since I don't have a spare computer to do that. But it should open perfectly though.

The main reason, is that I want to help a couple people at school jailbreak and update their iPod touches to 1.1.3. And I need to be able to restore them and whatnot using iTunes.

I have a similar problem. My school lets us use iTunes, but won't let me upgrade to 7.6 without being an administrator. So I have all my music, just no way to load it on my ipod touch.

What i tried was just go into your Program files, and drag the whole iTunes folder to your flash drive. Try to run the iTunes off of the flash drive, it worked for me.

I'll give that a shot then. I mean, I tried using some portable version, it was functional and worked, except that it wasn't able to detect and connect to iPods, so it wasn't very useful in my case.
