I backed up my iPt 3G and downloaded the firmware to restore to. I shift-clicked and clicked on the 4.1 firmware, then restore. It verified the firmware, then came up as "Preparing iPod for restore". My iPod went to Recovery mode and the connect to itunes logo came up. iTunes gave me an error 6002. I tried stuff at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275?viewlocale=en_US but nothing.

Also, Win 7 said that it couldn't find the drivers for it in recovery mode. It searched on Windows update and in the preconfigured driver folders.

    Help?

    How to fix this

You have to pull the ipod touch out of the usb, take the usb out of the computer, quit itunes, turn the ipod off, then plug it all back in and itunes should boot with out you clicking on it and it should say "You need to recover"
