itunes free account

    hey i need help setting up a free account on itunes.
    i follow all the steps from the apple site but when i click continue i keep getting session timeout error...everytime...and on a different pc also...i wanted to know if anyone knows what the cause is.
    i really want to put some apps on my 2g ipod touch thanks.

    You could just use the app store for apps. But for your PC, check if there's a security system. Norton can be especially tricky. Once I thought I deleted Norton, but I found out that I couldn't go to the iTunes Store. There were actually a few files left that I had to download the Norton Removal Program to delete (or something like that)

    but to use the app store i need an account right?

    what do u mean?? my PC is a built one...os is vista ultimate..not sure if this what ur asking..

    Go to Control Panels, and under the security icon there shold be "Allow a Program through windows firewall". Make sure iTunes is checked.

    ok but i am using norton...so i'll allow itunes for the norton firewall and try again. thanks.
