5 minutes ago it was working perfectly! Then all of sudden all my music disappeared and my movies!! Everything else seems to work fine. So I went on iTunes to see what was up and it was forcing me to restore. Also... my iPod isn't in recovery mood. It's just that all my music and videos got deleted and iTunes gives me this message when I hook up my iPod:

"iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPod ' (my iPod's name) '. Go to the Summary tab in iPod preferences and click Restore to restore this iPod to factory settings."

    What do I do!?

Do I have to hit restore and start all over!?! Or is there another way around this!!!???

I have the same problem with my 1.1.1 jb iPod Touch 16GB... I listened to some music, then I played iSolitaire. Some minutes ago, I wanted to connect it to my PC an saw this error message...

    edit:
I just installed a programm which shares the iPod-Library to iTunes, so you can listen to your music stored on the ipod. iTunes detected it and I can play all my MP3s although they do not appear on my iPod... weird.
