Hi I'm one of the few people who manage to get the iTunes Error "6" whilst trying to restore the ipod.
Now i figured i could start a thread to see if we could manage to narrow down and fix this problem/error.
This thread could be for suggestions and testing just on the Error 6.

I have read about this in other threads unfortuantly none are leading to an answer.

    64 Bit Windows Vista
    32 Bit Windows 7
    32 Bit Windows XP

Nope an iTunes-reinstall won't matter. For a while now, iTunes has left update/restore up to the device itself.

If you properly apply the noronly version of the ramdisk, the device won't even look at the main fs. Only the nor.

I come to think that it's itunes! I've came from 7.6 to 8.0.2 and it worked fine until then!
I also looked on the apple website about this problem and it seems to be very common!
I've gotten like all the bus errors you could possibly get! Maybe downgrading itunes would do but i'm not sure if it's ever been done!
