Any ideas about what could be going on? The worrying thing is I've got an iPod touch and not an iPhone, but the PC/iTunes doesn't recognise that!

Should I be having to do all this messing around simply to transfer the songs from my iTunes on to my iPod?! This is a joke.

No I don't. I bought my iPod on Friday evening, and since then I have spent around six hours trying and failing to do this.

I'm going on holiday in 20 hours' time, and this iPod will be back in the shop and I hope to have a refund by then.
