Ok, here's a problem I don't think anyone can fix.
    I have a iTouch 2G MC Model.
    Running on 4.0/3.1.2 jailbroken.
Now, every time I connect my iTouch to iTunes, it says in plain words: "iTunes cannot read the contents of [My] iPod. Restore to factory settings so iTunes can read your iPod."
And my question is, if I restore my iTouch to original factory setting i.e., 4.0 unjailbroken, is it a possibility that I can't jailbreak it with 3.1.2 and use sn0wbreeze to jailbreak it on 4.0 custom firmware?
Please I really someone's help on this.

What about upgrading iTunes? Is it 9.2?

idk. Unless iTunes is now programmed to detect jailbreaks....
But your iDevice runs fine, right?

Problem is that I want to sync some applications to my ipod instead of having to manually downloading the apps.

Have you got [PIRACY] 4.0x off Cydia? That might be the problem... idk though, if it actually matters. Might not even be for appstore apps....

    Can you SSH though?

    I think I do.
    Should I uninstall [PIRACY] 4.x?

I've never encountered anything like that before .-.
Have you tried respringing, rebooting... might fix errors?
    Deleted some daemons maybe?
