Hi, I am from Poland. Sorry about my english, but I'm still learning. I have got iPod touch and when I try to connect it to iTunes... It doesn't work.
    It;s PC, ( not Mac ) with WinXP SP2.
I've tried many things, such as removing all Apple components and reinstalling it (iTunes, QuickTime etc.) . I've done it about 50 times. I haven't got any results.
I tried rebooting PC many times, and restarting iPod too... And no effect.
I have uninstalled iTunes and installed Foola. (http://www.floola.com/modules/wiwimod/)
And it has got an error that iPod is not found.

iTunes has got errors such as :
"An iPhone has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect iPhone, then try again."
    or
"iTunes could not connect to the iPhone ``because an invalid responese was recieved from the device"

On my father's notebook with WinVista (sh*t) iPod is working great... But i can use only that PCAny ideas?

Kind of the same thing happened to me.
I just unplugged my USB cord and put it into my PC directly at the back instead of the HUB it was on. Works fine now.

If I plug it to usb 2.0 (not to hub) it's still no effect... It's not that reason.

When I first plugged in my iPod Touch it said no Simcard inserted so I unplugged iPod, tried it on a spare XP account and it worked fine.

Hm, I've formatted iPod in Vista. And there is a problem with attaching it to XP HOME. Could it be the reason?i
