Yesterday I did install a few cydia apps but I uninstalled most of including openssh. I also reinstalled itunes. Any help would be much appreciated

No, that's not going to make a difference, iTunes 9.0+ is made for Windows 7. Make sure you have version 9.02.25 by clicking Help and then About iTunes. Also, try a different USB port, try DFU mode (refer to my signature), and try a restore in DFU if you must (last, don't do it until you've tried everything else).
  4. Does the iPod at least turn on?
    Try:

-resetting the iPod (hold home and power button 'till apple logo appears)
    -putting it in restore mode
-Is the Apple Mobile Device service and iPod service or iTunes Helper service running?
    -restarting your computer

sorry if those aren't very helpful, but I don't know much...

I tried on other computer too same error. It's problem with ipod I've backup-ed what I needed via openssh. So I will do a Restore bye bye 80 cydia and bye bye to 5gb of download.
