itunes cannot reconise my 2g touch

    my pc can see the usb port that i am using but it say,s the 2g touch requires restore . but when i try to restore it says check for the latest updates for itunes but this is fine . o and buy the way the touch will not turn on IS IT

    I'm terribly sorry, but I have no idea what you are saying. It sounds like iTunes detects your iPod, but you are not able to restore or upgrade it. When you plug it into your computer, does it turn on? If your iPod isn't turning on at all, then something obviously isn't right with it.

    I would bring to an Apple Store to have it checked out. Make sure that your water sensor isn't pink. If it is, you somehow introduced water to the device, and could have very well fried the thing. Its found inside the headphone jack... it should be a tiny little white square if water hasn't touched it. If its Pink... then all you can do is buy a new one, since Apple's warranty doesn't cover water damage.
