okay so i am running 64bit windows 7 and i am trying to install itunes 10 but everytime i try i get an error message that says "Bonjour service failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient priveleges to start system services" i am the administrator on the computer and i even tried taking down the firewall to install it and that didn't work... i dont care if i hvae the bonjour services or not, but i cant even choose to disable them, so now i can't install itunes which is pain, any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can in fact uninstall bonjour. I would do that. Theres no need for it on a Windows machine. I can't even find a UI for it. Its just "there".

If you uninstall Bonjour itunes will say it is damaged or something along the lines and won't let you run itunes unless you have Bonjour. Trust me, I have tried to remove Bonjour before.

I removed it and it works fine.Matter of fact iTunes runs faster.

might be a new thing with 10.0

I'm pretty sure Bonjour is iTunes' networking functions or something like that; I think it's used for the networking components in iTunes (such as Remote). If you use things like that, then you shouldn't uninstall it. I think I remember uninstalling Bonjour a while ago, but I just had so many problems (nothing iTunes-related worked) so I stayed away from it.

    My two cents...
