I just read that apple has released another version of itunes 8
they say that it'll fix all the bugs that vista users had while connecting their ipod/iphone

    here's the source: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2280

Um... It's not a 'new' version of iTunes 8. It's simply instructions to remove and re-install iTunes if you're having problems with a BSOD when you plug in your iPod/iPhone.

emmm it also says "Re-download and install the updated iTunes 8 installer" - maybe you missed that part????

made it larger to make sure you don't miss it again

I just found out it saids Do not use the iTunes8Setup or iTunes864Setup file you previously downloaded on the apple support page. Does that mean i should delete it?

I got a BSOD earlier today when I plugged my Touch 2G to my Vista pc.
Vista correctly identified the bsod and sent me to the apple support page. The updated installer only changed the apple mobile device app. So far it seems to have fixed the bsod.
