itunes 7.7

    i keep reinstalling itunes 7.7 becuase i have 7.6 and after i install it and open it it says im back at 7.6 so what should i do?

    oh by the way i have a mac

    uninstall 7.6 then try installing 7.7

    Close itunes, go to system preferences, software update and run it. It will ask to download and install 7.7.

    yea ive tried doing a software update and it says its up to day but when i plug my ipod in it says it needs 7.7 to work. and ive tried going to the apple web site to download it to overwrite it and it still comes up with 7.6

    Have you tried going to:

    Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features

    Then a list of programs you have installed on your computer will show up, and you can select iTunes 7.6 and select 'Uninstall' or 'Remove'.

    Make sure that itunes is closed when you are updating or it will not work
