Every time I open iTunes, it uses huge amounts of RAM. On task manager, it says iTunes is "only" using 22 megs, but my available RAM goes from 1.7 gigs to less than 10 megs

does anyone else have this problem? it's quite annoying.

well first of all get a new computer dude, i have 4 gigs of ram and a 320 gb hard drive on my laptop, and second of all, all that ram usage may be due to the fact that ur prolly doin something else while itunes is on.

Don't give stupid "advice". It's not his computer that's the problem, it's iTunes, they have a huge well known memory leak in Windows since iTunes 7 and Apple is doing nothing about it. Getting more RAM isn't the solution, it should work well on 512MB of RAM too.

Unfortunately, until Apple patches it, you're screwed. Try Googling an iTunes alternative.
