I'm not waiting for it either, cuz then you are obliged to update your firmware and you have to go all that jailbreak crap again, and arrange all you icons and set your previous theme..

    I actually updated ...

Just an FYI ... when I got home I opened iTunes and checked to see if in fact there was an iTunes 7.5 released today. As has been noted, the update was available.

Yes, I installed the update ... the info box offered that the iPhone could be activiated from "any carrier that supports the iPhone", plus bug fixes and performance improvements ... blah, blah, blah.

OK, after a PC re-boot which was required, I plugged in my touch. SYNC started. A pop-up appeared saying my touch had valuable information that could help Apple improve the touch (like a dope I did not get a SS, sorry). There were the standard options for "don't send" or "send" and a check box for "don't ask me this question again". There was also a button for "Show Details" which I clicked. It showed two files (again, sadly no SS), one was "Springboard.crash" and the other one was "Springboard." (didn't note the extension). Both files were for some reason dated *today*.

In any case ... I clicked "Send Data" ...

(Obviously I have not 'broken my touch ... yet).

iTunes 7.5 features the ability to activate iPhone wherever service is offered and support for Phase, a new interactive music game designed exclusively for iPod nano (third generation), iPod classic, and iPod (fifth generation). This release also includes bug fixes to improve stability and performance.
