itouch wont power up

    ok my itouch 2g wont power up regular way or in dfu mode nothing happens anyone know whjat i can do?

    Plug it into a charger to make sure the battery isn't dead. If that doesn't work then go here.

    He might be in DFU mode and doesn't know it

    . What does it say in iTunes? If it says you're in recovery, you may have to restore (or boot if you're on a tethered 2G jailbreak)

    I have this exact same problem.

    I've installed the Cyw00d_V17.zip, and everything works fine, until i have to restart my ipod. Once I do that, it doesn't start up, and when I plug it into my pc, Windows says "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctions, and windows does not recognise the device).

    The only way forward is to re-install Cyw00d_V17 from scratch, erasing all my data.

    Anyone know why this is happening or whether I should be doing something else?
